Universidad Tecnológica (UTEC) Uruguay
Launched in September 2020, the partnership between IDSS and UTEC Uruguay supports graduate students enrolled in the UTEC Program in Data Science. Joint activities include workshops and tailored support from the MicroMasters Program in Statistics and Data Science.
One of the global pathway schools, UTEC offers graduate credits for students who have completed MicroMasters coursework. The blended learning approach includes four core data science courses and a capstone exam. In addition, UTEC hosts workshops featuring MIT and industry experts.
As of January 2023, there are 78 MicroMasters credential holders from UTEC. 14 of those learners were able to visit MIT in the fall and meet with IDSS faculty and students, and the IDSS MicroMasters team. Hear what they had to say:
