The One League Generative AI & Data Science Fellowship, offered in collaboration with IDSS, equips professionals with essential, hands-on skills to drive impact through data science and generative AI. The program offers the opportunity to learn directly from MIT teaching staff as well as attend exclusive IDSS events and seminars.

This fellowship, offered in collaboration with IDSS, equips professionals with the critical knowledge and practical skills to lead in data science and generative AI. With MIT ranked #1 in the world for engineering, learners experience a rigorous, hands-on education that bridges theory and real-world application.
Through five courses, learners master probability, data analysis, and machine learning while applying their knowledge in real time to tackle practical challenges. These courses are paired with live, synchronous classes led by distinguished One League faculty, where the class explores how to apply the essential lessons taught in the courses to their own startup or business problem.

One League Fellows
One League fellows represent over 60+ countries and 50+ disciplines, including Forbes 30 Under 30 awardees, Human Rights Fellows, Fulbright Scholars, Presidential Award winners, and more. They’re working on audacious projects such as realizing energy equity across Africa, creating agents of change in Southeast Asia, and building technology incubators in the Middle East. One League fellows include survivors of war, first-generation college graduates, refugees, ethnic and cultural minorities, and sole breadwinners for their families living under the poverty line.

Program History
One League partnered with IDSS to deliver the Statistics and Data Science Fellowship and the MBA with Statistics and Data Science for the 2022–2023 cohort. The program featured the MITx MicroMasters Program in Statistics and Data Science and offered opportunities to interact directly with MIT faculty and researchers, attend IDSS online events, seminars and more.
About One League
One League was founded by Umaimah Mendhro, an accomplished Silicon Valley entrepreneur and Harvard Business School alum. Mendhro grew up without access to formal education for much of her life in rural Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, where she lived in exile. Umaimah went on to attend Cornell University and Harvard Business School, graduating with highest distinction (Baker Scholar, top 5% of class). Umaimah is also the Founder of VIDA & Co., formerly backed by Google Ventures and Y Combinator, currently a multi-million dollar public benefit corporation.
