Great Learning

Great Learning is a global EdTech company offering professional and higher education programs in blended, classroom, and online modes across technology, data and business domains.

As an Alliance Member, Great Learning participates in annual conferences hosted by IDSS. In recent years the company has been involved in the annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Cambridge conference, an event that attracts hundreds of participants regionally and abroad. In 2022, three Great Learning students were selected as part of a competition to present their research in the field of data science. The company also sponsored one-hour industry mentoring sessions as raffle prizes for select participants.

Beyond conferences, Great Learning students participate in IDSS Hackathons and Datathon events. One learner, a graduate of the Applied Data Science Program, said her knowledge from that program helped her contribute to her team’s win at MIT’s Policy Hackathon, a data-driven event where teams create policy proposals for real world challenges.

Great Learning has also been featured as an IDSS Alliance member at other annual conferences, such as the Statistics and Data Science Conference (SDSCon).

Online Data Science Courses

In addition to their Alliance membership, Great Learning offers an online course in collaboration with IDSS, AI and Data Science: Leveraging Responsible AI, Data and Statistics for Practical Impact. The twelve-week course targets working professionals interested in expanding their data science skills and knowledge, and provides hands-on sessions led by Great Learning’s network of industry experts.

The company also hosts a live virtual workshop featuring IDSS faculty members, the Applied Data Science Program, and a No Code AI course. These offerings are through MIT Professional Education. See all IDSS online programs.
