Elianne Elbaum

Elianne Elbaum was appointed UTEC’s Director of the Global Center in  December 2021. In this capacity, Elianne provides leadership intended to consolidate UTEC as a global campus in terms of its teaching, research agenda, and strategic engagements.  She co-designed the Global Engagement and Internationalization Strategy of UTEC 2020-2025 and sees to its implementation. Prior to join UTEC, Elianne served as the Consul of Uruguay to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and as a Diplomat within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay.

Elianne has a BA from Dickinson College, a Master’s Degree from the University of Oxford in International Affairs, and she is currently finishing her PhD in Political Science and International Development at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Elianne won several scholarships and awards, such as the Chevening Scholarship and the Global Campus Scholarship.
