Event Navigation
The Technology and Policy Student Society (TPSS) is hosting a Q&A session focused on the student experience. A panel of current students will describe their experiences applying to the program, living in Cambridge, and doing research at MIT. Prospective students will have the ability to submit questions to the panel via Slido. Registration is required to receive the webinar link.
Students from historically underrepresented groups in higher education are encouraged to attend. We value diversity and strongly encourage participation from individuals from all identities and backgrounds.
Note that this panel is being run by students and is not affiliated with the TPP Admissions Committee. Consequently, students cannot answer questions assessing the qualifications of any specific candidate nor can they speak on behalf of the Admissions Committee.
MIT Technology and Policy Program is a research-based, two-year master’s program offered by MIT’s Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS). TPP students conduct research in labs and research centers across MIT, and complete coursework in subjects such as policy making, quantitative methods, and economics. Typically, TPP students’ tuition and a monthly stipend are paid by their lab/research group as part of a paid research assistantship. Their research forms the basis for the thesis that is a degree requirement.
