Mona Vernon

As Head of Human Resources for Fidelity Investments, Mona Vernon is responsible for leading Fidelity’s overall human resources strategy including organizational design, talent acquisition and development, total rewards, HR operations and technology, associate experience, and employee relations.

She has a proven track record of recruiting top talent and applying a data-driven mindset to identify solutions and deliver measurable results across the enterprise. Known for her authentic leadership style, Mona is dedicated to supporting future leaders and creating a culture where associates feel empowered and passionate about their careers.

Mona joined Fidelity in 2019 to run Fidelity Labs, the financial software incubator for Fidelity Investments, and led the team’s launch of new businesses including Saifr, Catchlight and Fidelity Stock Transfer. Prior to joining Fidelity, Mona was a Chief Technology Officer at Thomson Reuters (TRI) where she launched and scaled Thomson Reuters Labs, a network of global innovation labs, oversaw research and development, and managed the corporate venture fund.

Mona received a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and went on to attain a Master of Science in Engineering and Management from MIT. She currently serves as an Advisor for AI start-ups Osmo.ai and Hiddenweights, Inc., and is a member of FINRA’s FinTech Industry Committee.
