Postdoctoral Associate, IDSS, Aeronautics and Astronautics
Sven Wang joined IDSS as a postdoctoral researcher in 2021. He received his PhD in mathematical statistics from Cambridge University in 2020, which he completed under the supervision of Richard Nickl. His current research interests include statistical and computational questions arising in ‘complex’ models, such as physical models involving partial differential equations. He is interested in deriving mathematical guarantees to justify the use of statistical procedures, including Bayesian methods with MCMC, as well as the development of new methodology for applications.
